FClib becomes Thermolib
Thermodynamic Modeling and Simulation with MATLAB?/Simulink?
Already since its inception in early 2006 FClib reached out to users beyond the fuel cell community. Its rigorous treatment of engineering thermodynamics covers advanced topics such as chemical equilibrium, multi species multi-phase mixtures and hydraulic feed-back, to name a few. Therefore, the tool is used in a broader range of applications, e.g. air-conditioning of vehicle cabins, power and refrigeration cycles, chemical reactors, domestic heating and air conditioning with heat pumps.
To better capture this versatility in the product name we have opted for a name change: FClib will now be called Thermolib. Of course, the development of dedicated fuel cell components will continue to be a driving force of our development.
Based on fundamental thermodynamic properties and state calculations, Thermolib provides numerous components for setting up an entire thermodynamic system, which includes peripheral or balance-of-plant components such as heat exchangers, pumps and compressors, chemical reactors, burners, tanks, valves, splitters and mixers etc.
Thermolib seamlessly integrates with The MathWorks? tools used for Model-Based Design, Rapid Control Prototyping and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation. The tool comes with an extensive user manual and numerous examples of various applications.
