Introduction
The design process can be substantially facilitated by using Model-Based Design methods, especially if these offer Rapid Prototyping and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation capabilities. For most engineers and scientists, working with a model of a physical system instead of an actual prototype provides a convenient way to experiment with various design and control ideas.
Areas of Application
Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (Hil) simulations can be used in aerospace, automotive, HVAC, fuel cells, chemical plants and power generation applications.
