EUvis insitu

Vision-based intelligent boiler condition monitoring

Challenge

Camera head mounted to a traversing lance
Camera head mounted to a traversing lance

The condition of the super heater has a significant influence on boiler operation and efficiency. Slagging and fouling reduce the heat exchanger efficiency, disturb the local heat balance and require expensive on-load cleaning. Worse, slagging and fouling may prove irreversible if corrective action is not initiated in a timely manner. Excessive cleaning, however, leads to tube ruptures – cause of many forced outages.

EUvis insitu is a one-of-a-kind fully insertable camera system that traverses the boiler under full load operation. With its rotational head it can monitor boiler areas that would otherwise remain inaccessible. EUvis insitu helps you to keep close track of the boiler condition, identify problem areas and damages early in advance and establish a condition-dependent cleaning strategy. Powerful tools help you to analyse, evaluate and archive the information and make it available at your fingertips.
